Still life
The project was done to learn and create still life images
"Just bake"
I wanted to show different aspects of my life, and baking is on of the majors. I really enjoy making and challenging myself with different recipes. I captured my love for baking in this photo by showing how messy it can be by adding the flour all around the table and the tools i commonly use like the electric mixer (right top corner), spatula, spoon, and regular mixing bowl.

"candle light"This shows an aspect of my life because I like candles and my family. The heart represents my family and the candles represent the happiness in my life, and just that I like candles. This picture was taken in the snow when it was cloudy out at an angle. Since it was windy the hardest part was trying to keep the candles lit for the pictures.

"fixer-upper"This picture captures one aspect of my life because my mom and I are determined to fix household things such as a water softener ourselves sometimes. The hammer in the picture is the hammer we commonly use, and is rare to not see in the room we are working in even if it is irrelevant to the project. The nails are as I like to joke around are paper clip nails. my mom insists on using them even though they bend at the slightest force.

still life II
"pins and needles""night out" |
For me if you do the still life right, it is the easiest way to make a photo look professional. All you need as an amateur is a lamp, and two to four pieces of solid color paper taped together to form a photo box. Pretty simple to do and make,
For "Pins and Needles" I took some pins and tossed them on the paper and started taking pictures from all angles to produce the picture you see now. I like where the camera focused on, which are the three pins right next to each other. its a nice focal point that leads your eyes to the other pins. |
For my last picture "Night Out" I was actually using the sparkling juice (not wine sorry) for dinner that night. I borrowed one of my mom's wine glasses and her cork opener. I then proceeded to open a different bottle (not shown in picture) and poured about half a glass of the juice for the picture. Placing the objects how they are shows that they go together and also makes a rough rectangle shape. Using imaginary shapes in still like (ex. making a triangle or square shape with the objects) is what makes a still life look pleasing and good.
