"lucky penny""mud track"So, it is getting closer to spring, and I wanted to highlight the outside, now that most of the snow has melted. I love to do macro pictures and I love spring, so I thought I may as well get the best of both worlds. "Lucky Penny" I actually did by accident, while I was getting "Mud Track" I found a pile of small rocks by a tree, a little bit later while I was photographing the rocks, I found the penny that you see in the picture. I took the picture using the macro setting on my camera and got real close to the penny before holding down the camera button, letting it focus. Once focused on the penny I pressed the button all the way down and took the picture.
I simply did the same procedure with "Mud Track". This picture was a bit more planned. While I entered the parking lot of my school, I noticed the tire tracks in the mud. I wanted to take a picture of the tracks because the detail od the tracks and mud, make for a good and interesting photo. I took it at a more angled look to give the photo more interest, but made sure not to over do it so it did not look too over done or weird.

"parking lot""school"I wanted to play around with the panoramic setting on my camera, now that I can choose what I do, for the most part. These pictures were more to experiment with the setting then anything else. For "Parking Lot" I went outside and put my camera on the panoramic setting. After that I took many shots following the camera directions; which mostly consisted of pressing the camera button and moving your camera from left to right in a medium and consistent pace. I did the same procedure for "School". Using the this setting had some of its challenges. If I moved too fast or not in a consistent pace the pictures would end up blurry and sometimes have some black areas where the camera did not capture anything. Despite these minor problems, I plan on using this setting on the camera in the future once I have mastered the panoramic setting and have more of an interesting subject to capture.
